Doctor Who : the Macra terror
The Second Doctor and his companions visit a space colony which appears to be a happy place, only to discover that the human inhabitants have been brainwashed by the Macra, giant crab-like creatures who force the colonists to mine a dangerous gas essential for the Macra's survival.
